Position Description

Senior IT Strategy and Sourcing Practice Lead – Financial Services

  • Provide advisory services to Executive IT Consultant
  • 10+ years experience with Vendor Management, Sourcing, Outsourcing in Financial Services
  • With guidance from R3P’s Managing Director, develop a Sourcing Practice Toolkit, consisting of artifacts within R3P’s library and derived from your years of sourcing subject matter expertise (SME)
  • Build a program level view of intra and external dependencies and risks to be managed; and negotiate ownership
  • Build a stakeholder analysis, stakeholder management and communication plan
  • As additional team members are required, work with R3P’s VP Talent Management to recruit, interview, on-board and indoctrinate new talent

Senior IT Consultant – Data Centre Cloud Migration SME

  • Major Big5 Bank Applications
  • Experience in Private / Public Cloud design, Data Centre re-design, consolidation and migration projects for financial institutions
  • Strong infrastructure background – communications, Identity and Access Management, systems management, SQL, systems monitoring, enterprise storage, server virtualization, cloud computing and client computing standardization / upgrades
  • Architect not only the long-term state but also the path to get there, accounting for near-term product deliverables, technical debt, and the maturity and likely evolution of relevant technologies
  • Must be able to identify and work with stakeholders to collect, aggregate, and evaluate requirements in light of current and future technology, resources, and budgets
  • Must be able to understand the overall business strategy to ensure components of the architectural vision align with those of management and other stakeholders

Senior IT Consultant – Data Centre Infrastructure Move

  • 5 years hands-on experience with all aspects of a DC infrastructure move, including mainframe, AS400, AIX and Wintel servers
  • 10 years experience with IT network infrastructure in a large corporate environment
  • The DC move is part of a large Outsourcing Transformation and Transition program for a big5 Canadian Bank
  • 5+ years consulting experience, including managing stakeholder expectations

Senior IT Consultant – Transformation Work Stream Lead – ServiceNow

  • The Practice Lead will manage a portfolio of IT Service Management SMEs on implementation projects
  • The projects are focused on client accommodating new outsource partner instrumentation, toolset and processes within the client’s current operational model
  • The collection of ITSM projects are part of a larger Outsourcing Transformation & Transition Program
  • Provide Billable Consulting Services to R3P clients, as directed by R3P and the client
  • With guidance from R3P’s Managing Director, develop an IT Service Management Practice Toolkit, consisting of artifacts within R3P’s library and derived from your years of Service Management subject matter expertise (SME)
  • Assist the R3P Talent Manager in recruiting suitable SME resources
  • Build your Practice by monitoring for opportunities within R3P client(s) or for new client engagements
  • Provide Business Development Support to R3P; i.e. – attending pre-sales meetings with prospective clients, assisting in the preparation of proposals, presentation decks, etc.

  • 5+ years leading operational organizations such as the Helpdesk, CAB and/or Service Management teams for large and global enterprises

Senior IT Consultant – Program Manager

  • Prepare and run RFx; prepare business cases; present solution designs/analysis/recommendations to senior executive stakeholders
  • Technical Manager with strong PM skills
  • Lead and manage the Sourcing Event from receiving responses through contract execution for each RFx
  • Lead negotiations on behalf of Client and act as single point of contact for Client-approved RFx respondents
  • Provide high-level solution model comparison and fit analysis, provider comparison, and response evaluation
  • Key Skills: extensive experience running RFx; 10+ years technical IT infrastructure experience;
  • Financial Services, Government or Health sector experience preferred
  • 1 year initial contract

Senior IT Infrastructure Security Consultant

  • Minimum Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • 2+ years in a technical or functional lead role
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts
  • Hand-on experience in configuring secure operating systems and services
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing networked operating system services (DNS, Kerberos, file sharing, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and managing host-based security platforms
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and managing virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Citrix, KVM), experience in developing design and implementation documentation
